1. Multiplaying, which
is defined as a single person opening more than one connection to the
MUD at a time, is NOT permitted. Furthermore, you may not use any of
your characters to benefit your other characters, such as transferring
EQ/MEQ, etc. WHILE multiplaying. MEQ transfers through 3rd parties are
acceptable, but the 3rd party has every prerogative to screw you over,
so it's still risky.
2. Bug Abuse is not
tolerated. If you find a bug, report it to a staff member or an administrator
immediately (use mudmail if not online). Type wizlist for admin names.
3. No Triggers, Scripts
or Bots allowed, *except* a log-in trigger. You can not use anything
that will give your character an automated response.
4. No Bigotry, including
but not limited to: Racism, Sexism, Sexual Innuendo and Religious/Ethnic
slurs.
5. Harassment in ANY
form will not be tolerated. If you feel you are being harassed, create
a log of it to present to the staff. If no staff are present, e-mail/mudmail
the administration.
6. Do not give out
your password to anyone. Character sharing is NOT allowed. If you have
an issue with your character being 'hacked' or 'stolen', contact an
administrator.
7. RESPECT THE STAFF.
No brown-nosing/kissing-up, asking for special favors, or showing disrespect.
The staff of AvP are a volunteer force that work here for their love
of building and running a MUD. They do not demand your respect, but
do demand a lack of disrespect.
8. Evading a punishment
will result in a further, perhaps more harsh, punishment being handed
out at the discretion of the staff. This includes abusing loopholes
that have not been fixed.
9. Spamming public
channels or rooms in any form is completely unacceptable, unless in
a context where it is permitted by a staff member. As well, all rules
on help chat must be abided by.
This policy is the law of AvP, and will be
strictly enforced. Punishments can range from verbal warnings to full-out
bans. In most cases, punishments are left to the discretion of the staff
member handling each case. You are playing AvP as a privilege, not a
right. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any time,
for *any* reason.
